Role Description

SOC Analysts (L1 and L2) at Protect Threat play a key role in monitoring and defending client environments in a remote-first setting. This is a three-year managed security engagement operating within an SOC environment. The role involves continuous monitoring of security alerts and performing analysis within an AWS environment using a Wazuh-based SIEM/XDR.

Day-to-day responsibilities include getting hands-on with EDR/XDR, PAM, ITSM/CMDB, file integrity monitoring, immutable log backups, DFIR tooling and AWS security services. L1 analysts focus on alert triage, validation, enrichment, ticketing, and escalation.



L2 analysts perform advanced investigations, event correlation, impact scoping, containment recommendations, and detection tuning.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational cloud and networking knowledge, along with operational comfort in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Candidates should possess hands-on familiarity (or a solid desire to master) modern security operations tools, including Wazuh SIEM/XDR, EDR platforms, and AWS security services.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and previous Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) experience, which is strongly preferred.
- Candidates should possess clear written communication skills to effectively document findings, enrich tickets, and collaborate across the team, alongside a genuine, demonstrated appetite to learn.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, or Network+ are a plus. (Not required)
- This role is open to a diverse range of applicants, including certified freshers, candidates with 1+ years of experience, and career switchers transitioning from IT, networking, or development.

Compensation & Application Details

- Compensation: L1 at ₹1.8 LPA | L2 up to ₹3.5 LPA
