Role & responsibilities

1. Set up and operate shot peening machines according to work instructions and specifications.
2. Adjust machine parameters such as air pressure, shot flow, exposure time, and nozzle position.
3. Check machine performance and identify any abnormalities during operation.
4. Report machine malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
5. Monitor the shot peening process to ensure required coverage and intensity are achieved.
6. Load and unload components safely and efficiently.
7. Verify peening coverage, intensity, and surface finish as per customer or engineering requirements.
8. Perform Almen strip testing and record results where applicable.
9. Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of shot peening equipment.
10. Handle metal parts, shot media, and tooling safely.
11. Ensure proper storage and identification of workpieces and materials. 12) Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
12. Complete production records, inspection reports, and process logs. 14) Maintain traceability and documentation required by quality standards.
