Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) Developer / Specialist with solid end-to-end expertise across Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Software License Management. The candidate should have hands-on experience designing, configuring, developing, integrating, and supporting ServiceNow ITAM solutions. A strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, software licensing models, entitlement management, reconciliation, compliance, and integration with enterprise discovery, procurement, ERP, and software inventory platforms is essential.

The role will involve working closely with ITAM Process Owners, Architects, Procurement, Software Asset Managers, Infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and compliant ITAM solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

ServiceNow ITAM - End-to-End The candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, developing, and supporting ServiceNow ITAM solutions across the complete asset lifecycle. The role will involve implementing and enhancing Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) capabilities and configuring asset lifecycle processes covering procurement, receiving, deployment, transfer, stock, maintenance, retirement, disposal, and reconciliation. The candidate will also ensure alignment between Assets, Configuration Items (CIs), CMDB, users, locations, contracts, and cost centers, while supporting ITAM process automation, governance, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Hardware Asset Management (HAM)





The candidate will configure HAM lifecycle processes and asset workflows and manage hardware models, assets, stockrooms, inventory, transfers, shipments, and retirement activities. The role will include supporting asset-to-CI relationships and CMDB synchronization, implementing automated asset lifecycle and fulfillment processes, and supporting asset reconciliation and data quality activities.

Software Asset Management (SAM)

The candidate will implement and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro capabilities and configure software models, publishers, entitlements, installations, allocations, and reconciliation. The role will involve supporting software discovery and normalization processes, developing effective software license compliance and optimization processes, and analyzing software consumption, entitlement position, license compliance, and optimization opportunities. The candidate will also support publisher-specific licensing requirements and license models.

License Management The candidate should have a strong understanding of software licensing concepts, including user-based, device-based, core/processor-based, subscription, concurrent, and consumption-based licensing. The role will involve supporting license entitlement management, compliance calculations,



reconciliation, and optimization, as well as assisting with complex publisher licensing and compliance requirements. The candidate will also support software audit readiness and license position reporting.

Integrations & Data Management The candidate will design and develop integrations between ServiceNow ITAM and enterprise systems, with hands-on experience in REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and data mappings.

Experience integrating with SCCM/MECM, Intune, Discovery tools, procurement systems, ERP/SAP, HR systems, and software publishers and licensing platforms is required. The role will also involve troubleshooting integration failures, data synchronization, reconciliation, and transformation issues, while ensuring reliable flow of asset, inventory, software installation, procurement, and entitlement data.

Development & Platform Engineering The candidate will develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer workflows, Notifications, Scheduled Jobs, and REST/SOAP integrations. The candidate should follow ServiceNow development standards and promote out-of-the-box functionality wherever possible. The role will also support platform upgrades, releases, testing, and production deployments.
