Role Description The Senior Textile Designer will lead the design and development of textile concepts that complement Object D Arts’ handicraft and glassware collections. This full-time, in office role in Delhi, India involves creating original patterns, prints, and surface designs, preparing detailed technical specifications, and collaborating with production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality.

The person in this role will research market trends and materials, build and maintain design libraries, and oversee sampling to final product execution. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with merchandisers and sales teams to align collections with customer preferences, mentoring junior designers,



and maintaining consistent brand aesthetics across all textile products.

Qualifications

- Strong textile design skills, including concept development, pattern creation, and surface design for apparel, home textiles, or accessory applications.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other CAD tools used for textile and print development.
- Knowledge of textile materials, weaving and printing processes, fabric finishes, and production workflows within handicraft or related industries.
- Experience in trend research, color forecasting, and building cohesive collections for domestic and international markets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in office.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead designer role, including mentoring or guiding junior designers and design interns.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain design concepts to internal stakeholders and buyers.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; experience in handicrafts or glassware-related design is an advantage.
