We require an exceptional home-based therapist / team in Gurugram for an 18-year-old young adult with autism. The programme will be for 90 minutes after school, six days a week, focusing on:
- Spontaneous functional communication
- Speech development supported by AAC when appropriate
- Activities of daily living and personal independence
- Generalisation of skills into everyday home and community situations The lead professional must:
- Be a qualified senior speech-language pathologist with active RCI registration.
- Have at least 7 years of relevant experience, including substantial work with minimally speaking autistic adolescents and young adults.
- Have demonstrated expertise in functional communication, AAC and reducing dependence on verbal prompting.
- Provide evidence of previous work through anonymised case examples and measurable outcomes.
- Provide at least three verifiable references from families.
- Be dedicated, patient, passionate and willing to work consistently over an extended period.
- Personally conduct regular sessions and provide close supervision of the ADL therapist or special educator.
- Coordinate with the family, school, occupational therapist and treating doctors when required.
The occupational therapist or special educator must also have verified qualifications, adolescent-autism experience and strong references. No junior or unqualified person should be sent for regular sessions under the name of a senior professional.
Please specifically confirm the identity and credentials of the person who will attend the sessions daily. The provider must not substitute that person without prior approval.
The selected team must establish measurable communication and ADL goals, maintain daily records and submit a progress report every two weeks .
