Senior Software Engineer - Technology Platform

Position Summary

Independent technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and evolving foundational software capabilities that accelerate product delivery across Qualitrol. This role delivers reusable platform services, frameworks, APIs, libraries, and tooling while contributing to platform architecture and mentoring fellow engineers.

Mission

Design, build, and evolve shared platform capabilities that are leveraged across multiple products and value streams. Deliver scalable, maintainable, and reusable technologies that reduce duplication, accelerate development, and improve product quality across the organization.

Areas of Stewardship

Platform Engineering

- Design and develop reusable software services, APIs, SDKs, libraries, and frameworks.

- Create technical enablers and architectural runway that support multiple product teams.

- Define platform standards, integration patterns, and reference architectures.

- Drive software quality through automated testing, CI/CD, secure development practices, and observability.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects,



and engineering teams to identify opportunities for platformization and reuse.

- Improve developer productivity through tooling, automation, and AI-assisted engineering practices.

AI-Native Engineering

- Author, maintain, and evolve machine-consumable specifications as the primary engineering artifact.

- Decompose product requirements into structured specifications, interfaces, acceptance criteria, and validation rules.

- Build tooling, agents, and workflows that automate the generation, verification, and maintenance of engineering artifacts from approved specifications.

- Orchestrate AI-assisted and autonomous engineering workflows across design, implementation, testing, validation, deployment, and operational feedback.
