Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Radio Software Engineer specializing in 4G/LTE to join our telecom engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications, with strong hands-on expertise in LTE RAN software development, integration, optimization, troubleshooting, and protocol implementation.

The engineer will work closely with RAN architecture, system engineering, testing, and field teams to develop and enhance reliable LTE radio solutions and resolve complex network and software issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain 4G/LTE Radio Access Network software.
- Develop and optimize software components for eNodeB (eNB) platforms.
- Work on LTE protocol stack implementation and troubleshooting, including:

- PHY (Layer 1)

- MAC

- RLC

- PDCP

- RRC
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex radio software and protocol issues.
- Perform debugging using logs, traces, protocol analyzers, and network performance data.
- Support integration between radio software, baseband platforms, RF components, and LTE core network interfaces.
- Work with LTE interfaces and protocols such as S1, X2, S1AP, GTP, SCTP, and related 3GPP protocols.
- Participate in system integration, feature verification, interoperability testing, and performance testing.
- Optimize radio performance, capacity, stability, and reliability.




- Investigate field/network issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Support software releases, upgrades, patches, and feature deployments.
- Collaborate with RF, hardware, core network, QA/testing, and field engineering teams.
- Review software architecture, design specifications, and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
- Ensure solutions comply with relevant 3GPP LTE standards and specifications.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of skilled experience in wireless telecommunications and RAN software engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with 4G/LTE RAN and eNodeB software.
- Deep understanding of the LTE protocol stack and 3GPP architecture.
- Strong knowledge of PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and RRC layers.
- Strong knowledge of LTE call flows, signaling procedures, mobility, handovers, scheduling, and radio resource management.
- Solid programming experience in C/C++, preferably in embedded or real-time telecom environments.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using logs, traces, packet captures, and protocol analysis tools.




- Experience with Wireshark and/or similar telecom protocol analysis tools.
- Good understanding of IP networking and transport protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP, and GTP.
- Experience with software version control and development tools such as Git.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, integration, testing, and release processes.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with LTE small cells, macro cells, or private LTE networks.
- Experience with RAN equipment vendors or telecom equipment manufacturers.
- Knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) and radio/baseband architectures.
- Experience with O-RAN or virtualized/cloud-based RAN architectures is an advantage.
- Exposure to 5G NR and LTE-to-5G evolution is an advantage.
- Experience with performance optimization, KPI analysis, and field troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with automated testing, scripting, and tools such as Python, Bash, Jenkins, or CI/CD environments.

Experience Requirement Minimum 10 years of relevant telecom/RAN software engineering experience, with significant hands-on experience in 4G/LTE radio software development and integration.
