Duties and Responsibilities

- Test Planning & Strategy

Analyze product requirements, design specifications, and user stories to define comprehensive test strategies. Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
- Testing Execution (Manual & Automated)

Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and UI/UX testing across multiple platforms and devices. Develop, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks and scripts to reduce manual testing efforts.

Conduct API testing to ensure robust backend integrations.

- Defect Management & Tracking

Identify, isolate, and document software defects clearly using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to reproduce issues, troubleshoot root causes, and verify bug fixes.

- Process & Release Management

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality control.

Sign off on release candidates and monitor production deployments for potential quality regressions.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience & Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience). Proven skilled experience in software quality assurance.
- Technical Competencies

Automation: Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright).

Programming: Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or scripting language

(e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby).

API Testing: Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, REST

Assured, or SoapUI.

Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab

CI, CircleCI).

Database: Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and database querying.

- Professional Attributes

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented Agile setting.
