Senior QA / Automation Engineer (Broadband & Networking)

Required Skills & Experience

Approximately 8 years of experience in QA / Test Engineering.

Strong experience in Broadband, Cable Modem, or Gateway testing.

Hands-on Python programming experience for automation or test utilities.

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routing.

Experience working directly with customers and handling technical discussions.

Experience leading or guiding a small QA team (3–4 engineers).

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Cable Modems, Gateways, and Broadband systems.

Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts for functional, regression, and network validation testing.

Perform testing of gateway features including LAN/WAN, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT,



routing, and Wi-Fi performance.

Execute network, performance, and stability testing using tools such as

Iperf, traffic generators, and packet analyzers.

Debug and troubleshoot issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, SNMP, logs, and CLI tools.

Validate firmware upgrades, recent feature releases, and defect fixes; ensure complete regression coverage for every build.

Lead or mentor a small QA team (3–4 engineers) and review test cases and execution results.

Participate in customer calls, defect triage meetings, and release discussions, providing clear quality status.

Support Hypercare and production issues, including issue reproduction, root-cause analysis, and fix validation.
