Role Overview

We are looking for a strong, hands-on, and highly motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the Service Layer (SL-QTC) platform supporting Quote-to-Cash (QTC), customer lifecycle, and enterprise integration workloads. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and quality engineering practices for a cloud-native, event-driven platform built on AWS, Kafka/MSK, APIs, databases, and distributed microservices.

The ideal candidate should have strong automation expertise along with hands-on experience testing distributed systems, event-driven architectures, cloud-native applications, APIs, data flows, and complex enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Quality Engineering

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, event-driven workflows, and cloud-native applications.
- Build automated test suites covering:
- Functional testing

- Integration testing

- Regression testing
- End-to-end testing

- Data validation testing

- Develop quality engineering practices to support early defect detection and high-quality releases.

API, Microservices & Integration Testing

- Perform automated API testing, contract testing, service virtualization, and integration testing across enterprise applications and services.
- Validate REST APIs, asynchronous workflows, message queues, service integrations, and downstream system interactions.
- Ensure test coverage across complex Quote-to-Cash business processes and enterprise integration flows.

Kafka / MSK & Event-Driven Testing

- Validate Kafka / AWS MSK event flows, message transformations, canonical data models, and event orchestration workflows.
- Test schema evolution, message contracts, topic-level behavior, error handling, retry logic, and downstream consumption.




- Ensure reliability of event-driven workflows across distributed services.

Database & Data Validation

- Develop automated data validation and reconciliation tests across:
- PostgreSQL

- ClickHouse

- DynamoDB

- Other platform data stores

- Validate database transactions, data transformations, data consistency, and reconciliation outputs.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for testing, troubleshooting, and verification.

CI/CD & Shift-Left Testing

- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to enable continuous testing, quality gates, and shift-left practices.
- Contribute to release readiness criteria and quality metrics.

Non-Functional Testing

- Perform performance, load, reliability, resiliency, and scalability testing for distributed systems.
- Use tools such as JMeter, K6, Gatling, or equivalent solutions.
- Identify bottlenecks and support engineering teams in improving platform performance and reliability.

Defect Analysis & Reporting

- Analyze defects, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive quality improvements.
- Create test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics using tools such as Allure, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, ClickHouse, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve test coverage, automation frameworks, and release processes.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong experience designing and developing test automation frameworks using one or more of the following:

API Automation Testing

- Strong hands-on experience with API automation tools/frameworks such as:
- REST Assured

Microservices & Event-Driven Architecture Testing

- Strong experience testing:

- Distributed systems

- Experience validating asynchronous workflows, message queues, event transformations, and enterprise integrations.

Database Testing

- Strong experience with:

- Data validation techniques

AWS & Cloud-Native Testing

- Experience testing AWS cloud-native and serverless applications using services such as:
- Lambda

- API Gateway
- S3

- DynamoDB

CI/CD & DevOps

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using:
- GitLab CI

- Jenkins

- Azure DevOps

- Equivalent platforms

Performance & Observability

- Experience with performance and reliability testing tools such as:
- JMeter
- K6

- Gatling

- Experience with quality reporting and observability tools such as:

- Allure

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining automated testing solutions for enterprise applications and APIs.
- Robust experience testing cloud-native, distributed, and event-driven systems in production-scale environments.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of:
- Test strategy
