Must have skills required: Product Management

PrivaSapien is Looking for:**** : Senior Product Manager, Privacy Governance Reports to: Head of Engineering

Function: Product Management — Privacy Governance

Experience: 12+ years in enterprise software, including strong product management experience (6+ years) across privacy, data governance, or security products

About The Role We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who owns the vision, strategy, accountability, and roadmap for our Privacy Governance products — which help enterprises collect consent, discover and classify data, identify risk, and govern in line with data fiduciary obligations. You will translate a complex and fast-moving regulatory landscape (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP, and the emerging wave of AI governance rules) into intuitive, scalable capabilities that customers trust with their most sensitive information.

This is a true end-to-end ownership role: you are accountable for everything it takes to make the product succeed — strategy, roadmap, delivery, quality, and go-to-market — with the sole exception of carrying a direct revenue or sales quota. You will thrive at the intersection of law, privacy engineering, software lifecycle management, and customer business needs, partnering closely with engineering, sales, research, customer success, testing, legal/privacy counsel, and go-to-market teams to turn privacy from a compliance burden into a strategic competitive advantage. Strong privacy expertise is highly preferred; in its absence, a demonstrated ability to learn the domain quickly is critical.

What You'll Do

- Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Privacy Governance products — including Consent, Cookie, DPIA, DSR, RoPA, and data discovery.
- Manage the sprint end to end, ensuring on-time completion of every stage: feature prioritization → writing the FRD → FDD → sprint grooming → guiding UX → validating test cases → development tracking → KT → documentation → release notes → sprint retrospective.
- Ensure high-quality products by owning product performance benchmarks with optimal infrastructure, a robust bug management process, automated test cases, and code commits gated by quality and security requirements.

- Take complete ownership to build market-leading products by ensuring technical superiority, optimized compute needs, ease of use, debuggability, customer satisfaction, adoption, and renewal.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape — tracking competitive feature announcements, creating a comparison matrix against competitors, and training sales teams on product GTM and competitive strategy.
- Serve as the highest authority of the product features and final escalation point for sales (objection handling), customer success (bug fixes and feature commitments), engineering (on-time sprint execution), and marketing (product thought leadership).
- Translate evolving global privacy regulations into clear, prioritized product requirements — understanding the regulatory nuances and envisioning industry-leading products, workflows, and integrations.
- Talk to customers, DPOs, and privacy operations teams continuously to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and unmet needs, and turn those insights into a compelling product vision.
- Define and own product success metrics — adoption, activation, retention, and quality — using data to prioritize the roadmap and report outcomes to leadership on a regular cadence.
- Be the chief evangelist for the product — delivering product demos at events, leading privacy community conversations, writing white papers, and contributing to podcasts and regulatory reviews.

What We're Looking For

- 12+ years in enterprise software, including significant product management experience shipping and scaling enterprise B2B products globally.
- Working experience as a product manager in one or more of the following areas: cybersecurity, data governance, AI governance, or privacy regulation.
- Demonstrated success owning a product end to end by establishing competitive superiority, a mature bug review process, predictable sprint execution, and accelerated product adoption.
- Track record of taking complete ownership of the product by being the single source of truth for sales, marketing, customer success, and leadership.
- Proven ability to manage customer and sales escalations, and to distill complex, ambiguous, and regulated problem spaces into clear,

actionable product requirements delivered on time.
- Experience at a B2B product company serving global customers, or at a deeptech startup — having led product management and scaled a product from early stage to meaningful scale.
- Strong experience integrating products with third-party software, the broader SaaS ecosystem, and identity systems.
- Proven ability to drive predictable, high-quality delivery across the product lifecycle, with a solid command of agile ways of working.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder leadership — able to influence engineering, design, sales, customer success, and executives without direct authority.

Bonus Points

- Hands-on experience building privacy and data governance products.
- Working knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP) and the emerging AI governance landscape.
- Familiarity with data discovery, classification, lineage, or consent/preference management technologies.
- Experience shipping AI/ML-powered or agentic product capabilities into enterprise workflows.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) or a background in law, compliance, or information security.

Why This Role Privacy is one of the defining challenges of the AI era — and you'll shape the products that let enterprises meet it head-on and set an example for the industry to follow. You'll own a strategically critical, high-visibility product end to end, with real autonomy over strategy, roadmap, delivery, and go-to-market, working alongside a team that treats privacy and responsible AI as a genuine mission. If you want your product decisions to protect people's data at scale while turning trust into a durable business advantage, this is the seat to do it from. How to apply for this opportunity?
