Featured on LinkedIn’s Top Startups list in 2022 and 2025, we’re one of India’s fastest-growing D2C brands redefining comfortable apparel for India.
Job Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore (on-site)
About the Role:
BlissClub is scaling fast across D2C, retail, marketplaces, and B2B; where we place our inventory across. These channels directly drive both our sales and our working capital. We are looking for a Senior Planning Analyst to own inventory allocation, rebalancing, and liquidation across the full channel mix.
Sitting within the Planning team and working closely with Retail Operations, Marketplace, Sales, and Finance, you’ll decide where every unit should sit to maximise sell-through while keeping days-of-inventory-on-hand (DOH) and blocked working capital as low as possible. This is a high-ownership, analytics-heavy role for someone who enjoys turning messy inventory and sales data into sharp, defensible allocation decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Allocation (Across Channels)
● Allocate incoming and available inventory across retail stores, shop-in-shop counters, marketplaces,
and B2B balancing the twin objectives of maximising sales and minimising DOH / working capital.
● Build and run channel- and door-level allocation logic based on rate of sale, size-curve health, stock cover, and channel priority.
● Set and maintain min/max norms and replenishment triggers by channel and door to reduce both stockouts and overstock.
● Partner with Retail Operations and Marketplace teams to translate allocation plans into on-time dispatches and listings.
Inventory Rebalancing (Across Doors)
● Continuously monitor stock versus sell-through by door and channel, and rebalance inventory inter-store transfers, pullbacks, and redeployment to move stock to where it will sell fastest.
● Identify slow- and fast-moving SKUs early and trigger corrective movement before stock ages or stocks out.
● Protect availability of core / NOOS (never-out-of-stock) styles and best-sellers across high-performing doors.
Liquidation & Working Capital Recovery
● Identify unsellable, aged, and dead inventory and build liquidation plans that convert it back into cash and free up blocked working capital.
● Recommend the right liquidation levers by cohort markdowns, clearance channels, marketplace / B2B offloading, bundling and track recovery against cost.
● Work with Finance to quantify stuck working capital and report progress on inventory cleared.
Analytics, Reporting & Projects
● Own dashboards and reporting on allocation health, DOH, sell-through, stockouts, ageing, and liquidation recovery.
● Turn analysis into transparent, prioritised recommendations for the planning and leadership teams.
● Drive ongoing and ad-hoc planning projects allocation-logic improvements, assortment and depth planning, and process automation.
Key Metrics You’ll Own:
DOH / working capital tied up in inventory · Sell-through & rate of sale by channel and door · Stockout & overstock rates · Ageing & dead-stock levels · Liquidation recovery value
What We are Looking For:
● 2-4 years of experience in inventory planning, allocation, merchandise planning, or retail / e-commerce supply chain.
● Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel / Google Sheets; comfortable working with large, SKU- level datasets.
● Working understanding of allocation and replenishment concepts rate of sale, stock cover, size curves, min/max norms.
● Ability to balance competing objectives (sales versus working capital) and make sound decisions under ambiguity.
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management; comfortable driving decisions across Retail, Marketplace, Sales, and Finance.
● High ownership, with the ability to manage multiple channels and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
● Experience in apparel, fashion, or footwear, where size and style curves matter.
● Exposure to multi-channel businesses spanning D2C, retail, marketplace, and B2B.
● Familiarity with ERP / planning tools, POS systems, and BI tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Looker, BigQuery).
● Experience running markdown, clearance, or liquidation programmes.
