Job Summary
Key Responsibilities • Installation &
- Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle and MySQL software and related products across various platforms (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows).
- Performance Monitoring &
- Tuning: Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize slow-running SQL queries, and implement performance-enhancing solutions.
- Backup &
- Recovery: Develop, implement, and test robust backup and disaster recovery strategies using tools like Oracle RMAN to prevent data loss and minimize downtime.
- Security &
- Integrity: Implement and maintain security controls, manage user accounts, define access permissions, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Maintenance &
- Support: Perform routine maintenance tasks (patching, index rebuilding), troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support and training to users and development teams.
- Design &
- Development Support: Collaborate with developers and data architects on database design, creating schema objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Automation &
- Scripting: Create and maintain scripts (Shell, Python, PL/SQL) to automate routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
Required Skills &
