Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced MuleSoft Developer to support the migration of existing MuleSoft applications and integrations from an on-premises environment to the Cloud, primarily using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform / CloudHub.

The candidate will be responsible for assessing existing Mule applications, identifying migration requirements, modifying applications and configurations where required, migrating integrations and data flows, deploying applications to the cloud, and performing end-to-end testing and validation.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft, Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, API-led connectivity, connectors, and CloudHub.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse existing MuleSoft applications and integrations running in the on-premises environment.
- Assess applications for cloud migration readiness and identify required code/configuration changes.
- Migrate MuleSoft applications and integration flows from on-premises Mule runtime to CloudHub / CloudHub 2.0 or Runtime Fabric, as applicable.
- Review and migrate existing interfaces, APIs, data flows, transformations, and integrations.
- Modify Mule applications to meet cloud deployment requirements.
- Reconfigure environment-specific properties, credentials, endpoints, ports, certificates, and connectivity.
- Migrate or redesign integrations involving databases, file systems, REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce, SAP, MQ, SFTP/FTP and other enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain DataWeave transformations for data mapping and migration.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks between source and target systems.
- Identify and replace/modify on-premises-specific components that are not suitable for the cloud environment.
- Configure secure connectivity between CloudHub and on-premises applications where required.
- Configure VPC/private networking, VPN, load balancers, firewall rules and IP whitelisting in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
- Deploy Mule applications using Anypoint Runtime Manager, Mule Maven Plugin, Anypoint CLI or CI/CD pipelines.
- Update existing CI/CD pipelines to support cloud deployments.
- Configure application properties, secrets, logging, monitoring and alerting in the target cloud environment.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot migration, connectivity, deployment and runtime issues.
- Support SIT, UAT and production cutover activities.




- Prepare migration documentation, deployment procedures, rollback plans and operational handover documents.
- Work closely with architects, DevOps, infrastructure, security, application and business teams during migration.
- Provide post-migration support and resolve production issues.

Required Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience.
- Strong experience with Mule 4 and Anypoint Platform.
- Strong knowledge of Anypoint Studio, Mule Runtime and Runtime Manager.
- Hands-on experience with CloudHub / CloudHub 2.0 or Runtime Fabric.
- Strong knowledge of DataWeave 2.0.
- Experience developing and modifying Mule flows and APIs.
- Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS and API integrations.
- Experience with Anypoint Connectors such as:
- Database

- SFTP/FTP

- Salesforce

- SAP

- JMS/MQ

- HTTP

- File

- Experience working with SQL databases and data migration activities.
- Experience with JSON, XML, CSV and other data formats.
- Experience with API-led connectivity and integration patterns.
- Good understanding of authentication and security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, certificates, TLS/SSL and secure properties.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD.
- Experience with Maven and Mule Maven Plugin.
- Experience troubleshooting production and integration issues.

Cloud Migration Experience The candidate should have practical experience in one or more of the following:
- Migration of MuleSoft applications from on-premises to CloudHub.
- Migration of Mule 3 applications to Mule 4 where applicable.
- Cloud migration assessment and application remediation.
- CloudHub worker sizing and deployment configuration.
- Migration of environment properties and secure configurations.
- Migration/reconfiguration of on-premises connectivity.
- VPC/VPN/private connectivity configuration.
- Application logging and monitoring in CloudHub.
- Cloud-based CI/CD deployment.
- Performance and regression testing following migration.

MuleSoft's guidance highlights several areas that commonly require attention during on-premises-to-CloudHub migration, including workplace properties, shared resources, connectivity, ports, logging, Object Store, CI/CD and performance testing.

Data Migration Responsibilities





Where the project involves actual data migration, the developer will:
- Understand source and target data structures.
- Build MuleSoft flows for extracting, transforming and loading data.
- Develop data mappings using DataWeave.
- Handle large-volume data using appropriate batch processing and pagination techniques.
- Implement error handling and retry mechanisms.
- Perform source-to-target data reconciliation.
- Validate record counts, data completeness and transformation accuracy.
- Develop migration reports and exception handling processes.
- Support mock migration and final production cutover.

- MuleSoft Certified Developer – Mule 4.
- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP.
- Experience with CloudHub 2.0.
- Experience with Anypoint API Manager.
- Experience with Anypoint MQ.
- Experience with Object Store.
- Experience with Splunk or other centralized logging platforms.
- Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience working in large enterprise migration programs.
