Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Microservices, Kafka, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, distributed systems, and advanced testing practices.

The candidate will be responsible for owning complex technical components, leading end-to-end feature delivery, mentoring engineers, and driving improvements in automation, reliability, scalability, performance, security, and overall engineering quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex features across the technology stack.
- Own services and features throughout the complete lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
- Design scalable, performant, resilient, and reliable solutions aligned with architectural standards.
- Apply advanced design patterns and clean architecture principles.
- Drive engineering excellence through clean coding, automation, and robust testing practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams to define and implement effective technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
- Take ownership of quality, reliability, security, and performance for assigned applications and services.
- Improve development automation, engineering processes, and tooling.
- Contribute to technical strategy,



architecture standards, and engineering best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to technical direction.

Mandatory Technical SkillsJava & • Spring Boot
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of Spring Boot internals.
- Strong knowledge of transaction management and proxy-based Spring behavior.
- Advanced understanding of Java concurrency.
- Knowledge of virtual threads, daemon threads, and thread lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Functional Programming.

AWS & • Cloud Infrastructure
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with core AWS services beyond basic S3 usage.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Ability to provision, manage, and automate cloud environments.

Microservices & • Distributed Systems
- Strong experience designing and implementing Microservices architectures.
- Ability to define appropriate service boundaries and decomposition strategies.
- Strong understanding of event-driven and message-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and asynchronous communication.




- Strong understanding of scalability, resilience, and distributed systems.

DevOps & • Continuous Delivery
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with deployment automation and release management.
- Experience working with feature flags/toggles.
- Knowledge of trunk-based development and modern branching strategies.

Containerization
- Hands-on experience with Docker.
- Understanding of container-based application packaging and deployment.
- Kubernetes/OpenShift experience will be highly valuable.

Testing & • Quality Engineering
- Strong understanding of Unit, Integration, Component, and End-to-End Testing.
- Experience with Testcontainers or similar container-based testing frameworks.
- Ability to design effective integration testing strategies.
- Robust focus on test automation and quality-first development.

Core Software Engineering
- Strong understanding of immutability and its practical applications.
- Knowledge of higher-order functions and functional programming concepts.
- Strong understanding of JVM behavior and thread management.
- Strong focus on clean coding and software design principles.
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals.

Architecture & • Technical Design
- Ability to clearly explain architectural decisions, design approaches, and trade-offs.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture.
- Experience with distributed application design patterns.
- Ability to make technology decisions considering scalability, maintainability, reliability, performance, and delivery efficiency.
