About Arctic Turns

Arctic Turns Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is an ERP consulting and technology company specializing in Oracle NetSuite, Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion and enterprise business solutions. We are expanding our ERPNext / Frappe practice and are looking for an experienced Senior Frappe / ERPNext Developer who can take ownership of ERPNext development, customization, integrations, technical implementation and production support.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Frappe Framework, ERPNext, Python, JavaScript, SQL/MariaDB and REST APIs, along with a good understanding of ERP business processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. ERPNext & Frappe Development

* Develop, customize and maintain ERPNext applications using the Frappe Framework.

- Create and customize DocTypes, Child Tables, Forms, Workflows, Reports, Print Formats and Dashboards.
- Develop server-side business logic using Python and Frappe APIs.
- Develop client-side functionality using JavaScript, Client Scripts and Frappe APIs.
- Build custom Frappe applications and reusable components.
- Develop validations, automation, scheduled jobs, notifications and background processes.
- Follow best practices and avoid unnecessary modifications to ERPNext core.

2. ERPNext Implementation & Customization

* Understand business requirements and convert them into ERPNext technical solutions.
- Work closely with Functional Consultants and customers during implementation projects.
- Customize ERPNext modules based on client-specific requirements.
- Support configuration, testing, UAT, deployment and post-go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot functional and technical issues across ERPNext implementations.

3. ERP Modules

Hands-on knowledge of multiple ERPNext modules is expected, including:
- Accounting & Finance
- CRM
- Selling
- Buying
- Stock & Inventory
- Manufacturing
- HR & Payroll
- Projects
- Assets
- Quality Management
- Maintenance
- Customer & Supplier Management

Strong knowledge of Accounting, Inventory, Sales/Purchase or Manufacturing processes will be an advantage.

4. Integrations & APIs

* Develop integrations between ERPNext and third-party applications.

- Work with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and authentication mechanisms.
- Develop custom API endpoints and integration services.
- Integrate ERPNext with e-commerce, payment gateways, CRM, HR,



logistics and other enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot API and integration-related issues.

Frappe provides REST APIs for DocTypes and allows custom Python methods to be exposed through APIs, making integration experience an important part of this role.

5. Database & Performance

* Work with MariaDB/MySQL databases.

- Write and optimize SQL queries.
- Understand database schema, relationships and indexing.
- Troubleshoot slow reports, queries and application performance.
- Perform basic application and database performance tuning.

6. Deployment & Server Management

* Deploy and maintain ERPNext/Frappe applications.
- Work with Linux servers, Frappe Bench, Nginx and Git.
- Support application upgrades and version migrations.
- Manage backups, restores and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot production environments.

Knowledge of Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP or other cloud environments will be an advantage.

7. Technical Leadership

* Take ownership of assigned ERPNext projects and technical deliverables.

- Review code developed by junior developers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the development team.
- Prepare technical designs and development documentation.
- Estimate development effort and timelines.
- Ensure development quality, security and maintainability.

8. Client Interaction

* Participate in requirement-gathering sessions with customers.
- Explain technical solutions to functional teams and customers.
- Analyze production issues and provide root-cause analysis.
- Participate in demos, UAT and technical discussions.
- Communicate clearly with international clients and project teams.

Required Technical Skills

Must Have

* 5+ years of software development experience

- Robust hands-on experience with ERPNext and Frappe Framework
- Strong Python programming skills
- Strong JavaScript skills
- Good knowledge of SQL and MariaDB/MySQL
- Experience with Frappe DocTypes, Workflows, Reports, Scripts and Print Formats
- Experience with REST API integrations
- Experience with Git
- Good understanding of Linux
- Experience with ERP implementation/customization
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Experience Requirements

The candidate should ideally have:
- 5+ years of overall software development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on ERPNext/Frappe experience
- Experience working on at least 2–3 ERPNext implementation/customization projects
- Experience working directly with clients or functional consultants
- Experience developing integrations with external systems

Candidates with strong ERPNext/Frappe experience and fewer overall years may also be considered if they demonstrate strong technical capability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Or a related technical discipline

Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
