About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager who will act as the second line of leadership within the Finance function and work closely with the CFO. The role will have strong ownership of financial closure, reporting, compliance, cash flow, audits, and finance operations.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, commercially aware, and capable of analysing financial problems, recommending solutions, and taking independent decisions rather than escalating routine matters to the CFO. You will also support the CFO in financial planning, business strategy, acquisitions, and new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently manage monthly and annual financial closure and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Trial Balance, General Ledger and MIS.
- Own GST, TDS, Income Tax/ITR, PF, PT, ESIC, ROC and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate independently with Statutory Auditors, Tax Auditors, CA/CS and external consultants.
- Manage statutory audits, tax audits and financial compliance requirements.
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts and monitor working capital, collections, payments and liquidity.
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis and highlight key business insights.
- Review financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to the CFO and senior management.
- Manage and review the work of the finance and accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timelines and accountability.
- Support the CFO in financial planning, business strategy, acquisitions and new business initiatives.
- Contribute to M&A;, financial due diligence, business valuation and financial modelling where required.
- Support finance integration for newly acquired entities or group companies.
- Develop and strengthen finance SOPs, internal controls and reporting processes.
- Support banking relationships, working-capital facilities and fundraising activities, where applicable.




- Prepare management and Board-level financial reports and presentations.
- Drive finance automation and process improvements using ERP, technology and AI tools.
- Handle multiple entities, international subsidiaries and cross-border transactions, where applicable.
- Ensure finance processes remain compliant with applicable Companies Act, FEMA, RBI and taxation requirements.

What we're looking for:

- CA / CMA preferred; strong CA Inter candidates with relevant experience is preferred.
- 5–8+ years of strong hands-on experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Proven experience independently handling monthly and annual financial closure.
- Strong knowledge of P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, General Ledger and MIS.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax/ITR, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, PF, PT, ESIC and ROC/Companies Act compliance.
- Experience working independently with auditors, CA/CS, consultants and statutory authorities.
- Strong cash-flow forecasting and working-capital management skills.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Strong Excel and financial analytical skills.
- Experience managing or reviewing a finance and accounting team.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and ownership mindset.
- Ability to work directly with CFO, CEO and senior management.
- Should be comfortable taking ownership and bringing solutions and recommendations, not just problems.
- Experience in a high-growth, startup or promoter-driven workplace is an advantage.
- Exposure to multiple entities, M&A;, financial due diligence, valuation or financial modelling is preferred.
- Exposure to international subsidiaries, cross-border transactions, FEMA, RBI or international taxation is an advantage.
- Experience with ERP, finance automation, SOPs and internal controls is preferred.
- Comfortable using AI tools for financial analysis, reporting and process automation.
- Experience preparing management/Board-level financial reports is an added advantage.
