Role Description The Senior Finance & Accounting Head is a full-time, in office role based in Chandigarh, India. This role oversees the entire finance and accounting function, including preparation and review of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance. The individual will lead financial reporting, coordinate audits, ensure accurate accounting records, and implement internal controls.

Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, advising leadership on financial risks and opportunities, optimizing cost structures, and supporting strategic decisions for EPC and infrastructure projects. The role also involves managing the finance team, improving processes, and ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Analytical Skills to support strategic planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.




- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant disclosures.
- Candidates should possess solid Accounting skills to maintain ledgers, oversee reconciliations, and manage compliance with accounting standards.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CPA, or MBA in Finance are highly desirable.
- Significant experience in senior finance or accounting leadership roles, preferably in EPC, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of taxation, corporate laws, and regulatory compliance in India.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel, with the ability to streamline and automate financial processes.
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.

Experience: 8–12 years

Qualification: CA/CMA/MBA Finance/M.Com

Key responsibilities

- Finalisation of accounts and statutory reporting
- Cash-flow and working-capital management
- Project finance, banking and fund-based/non-fund-based limits
- GST, TDS, income tax and regulatory compliance
- Budgeting, MIS and project-wise profitability
- Audit coordination and internal financial controls
- Consolidation and listed-company compliance
- Management of the finance and accounts team
