ABOUT CONCEPT
Concept is a Delhi-based conference and event management company specialising in national and regional medical & scientific conferences. We plan and deliver 60+ association conferences a year across specialities such as diabetology, dermatology, radiology, orthopaedics, paediatrics and public health, working closely with medical societies, sponsors and venues across India. As the team and event calendar continue to grow, we are building out a dedicated HR function to support our people.
ROLE SUMMARY The Senior Executive – HR will independently manage the day-to-day HR function for the Delhi office, from recruitment and onboarding through to HR operations, statutory compliance, performance management and employee engagement. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role suited to someone who enjoys building HR processes in a lean, fast-moving, project-driven organisation and who is comfortable balancing structured HR operations with the seasonal, deadline-driven rhythm of conference cycles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
● Manage end-to-end recruitment for full-time, seasonal and event-based roles — sourcing, screening, interview coordination and offer management.
● Partner with functional heads to understand hiring needs ahead of peak conference season and maintain a ready talent pipeline.
● Design and run a structured onboarding and induction process for new joiners.
HR Operations & Statutory Compliance
● Maintain accurate employee records, HR files and the HRMS/attendance system.
● Coordinate monthly payroll inputs (attendance, leave, reimbursements) with the finance team and ensure timely, error-free processing.
● Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements — PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, shops & establishment and related filings.
● Manage employee lifecycle documentation: offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation, transfers and full-and-final settlements.
Performance Management & Employee Engagement
● Drive the annual/half-yearly performance appraisal cycle, including goal-setting, review coordination and documentation.
● Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, town halls and recognition programmes appropriate to a close-knit, event-driven team.
● Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, grievances and workplace concerns, escalating sensitively where required.
Policies, Culture & Administration
● Draft, update and roll out HR policies (leave, travel, code of conduct, POSH, etc.) and ensure consistent implementation.
● Support the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) committee and ensure statutory posters/registers are current.
● Provide light-touch administrative support to the Delhi office — vendor coordination, ID/access management and office logistics — as needed.
Reporting & Exit Management
● Prepare periodic HR dashboards and MIS for leadership — headcount,
attrition, hiring TAT and compliance status.
● Manage the exit process end-to-end, including exit interviews, clearance and full-and-final settlement.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
● Strong working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, gratuity, POSH).
● Proven ability to manage the HR function independently, with minimal supervision.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working closely with a small leadership team.
● Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
● Working knowledge of any HRMS/payroll software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
● Ability to work flexibly around peak conference periods, including occasional weekend or on-site support.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
● Postgraduate degree/diploma in Human Resources Management, MBA (HR) or equivalent.
● 3–6 years of progressive HR generalist experience; prior experience in an events, hospitality, healthcare or professional-services company is an advantage.
● Experience setting up or independently running an HR function in a small-to-mid-sized organisation is a strong plus.
WHAT WE OFFER
● A high-ownership HR role with the opportunity to shape people processes from the ground up.
● Direct exposure to leadership and a close, collaborative team workplace.
● A dynamic, varied work calendar built around India's leading medical conferences.
