UnifyXperts is hiring an experienced ERP Finance Consultant to own month-end close, run UAT, train end users, and mentor junior consultants across our ERPNext finance implementations for US manufacturers and e-commerce businesses.

About UnifyXperts

UnifyXperts is a PMM Level 5, Frappe-certified ERPNext implementation consultancy. We help US-based small and mid-sized manufacturers and e-commerce businesses move off QuickBooks, Fishbowl, and legacy systems like FoxPro or Made2Manage onto ERPNext — configuring the finance, inventory, and manufacturing modules around how these businesses actually run. Our team of ~15 delivers remotely from India to clients across the US.

Finance is the module clients trust us with the most, and the one they judge us on the longest — a clean month-end close, every month, is what tells a client the implementation actually worked.

About the role

This is a senior, client-facing role. You won't just configure the finance module and hand it off — you'll sit with clients through their first several close cycles on ERPNext, make sure their team can run the close independently, and be the person junior consultants come to when a close doesn't balance. You'll also be one of the people who turns what you know into playbooks the rest of the team can use.

What you'll do

Own the month-end close, end to end

- Guide clients through a structured close cycle: bank and card reconciliation, AR/AP aging review, revenue and COGS verification, journal entries and accruals, financial statement production, and final review/sign-off
- Set and enforce a close calendar with clients — clear day-by-day ownership, deadlines, and a sign-off trail,



not an open-ended "get to it eventually"
- Diagnose and resolve close blockers: unreconciled accounts, aging discrepancies, misclassified revenue/COGS, balance sheet items that don't tie out
- Build the financial reports clients actually review (P&L;, balance sheet, trial balance, aging) and walk them through what changed and why

Train and support

- Train client end users (bookkeepers, controllers, office managers) to run ERPNext finance workflows themselves, not stay dependent on us
- Plan and run UAT for finance module rollouts — write test scenarios against the client's real processes, track defects, and confirm sign-off criteria before go-live
- Provide post-go-live support: triage finance-module issues, fix configuration problems, and know when something needs to be escalated versus taught
- Train and mentor junior consultants on finance-module configuration and client-facing judgment calls

Build the system, not just the project

- Turn recurring close issues and client questions into documented playbooks, checklists, and training material other consultants can reuse
- Flag scope or process gaps to the delivery lead before they become a client escalation

What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance operations, ERP implementation, or ERP finance consulting — CA,



CA-Inter with strong industry experience, or B.Com/MBA Finance with equivalent hands-on experience
- Hands-on ownership of at least one full month-end close cycle (accruals, reconciliations, financial statement prep) — not just data entry
- Working knowledge of ERP finance modules — ERPNext strongly preferred; SAP B1, NetSuite, Odoo, or Zoho Books also relevant
- Comfortable running training sessions and UAT for non-technical, non-finance client teams — can explain a debit/credit concept to someone who's never seen one
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for reconciliation and reporting
- Confident, direct communicator in English — this role runs client and CFO/controller-facing calls independently, not just attends them
- Some experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior team members

Nice to have
- Prior consulting or implementation-partner experience (not just in-house accounting)
- Exposure to US accounting practices, multi-entity or multi-location businesses, or GST/multi-tax environments
- ERPNext certification or demonstrable hands-on configuration experience
