Job Role
- Senior Accounts Executive
- Handle day-to-day accounting, financial transactions, compliance, banking, inventory tracking, and financial analysis activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely completion of financial and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with the Chartered Accountant (CA) for account finalization and tax returns.
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, reconciliations, and business analysis reports.
- Manage inventory records for finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Transactions:
- Record daily purchase, sales, returns, expenses, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare delivery challans, sales invoices, purchase orders, and e-way bills.
- Maintain accounts using computerized accounting software.
- Prepare Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage and maintain ledgers.
- Maintain master data for customers, stores, products, vendors, and other accounts-related information.
GST & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare monthly workings and filings for GST, TDS, and other applicable compliances.
- Handle applications related to casual GST.
- Coordinate with the CA for finalization of accounts and tax returns.
- Stay updated with current financial regulations and accepted accounting practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance-related documentation.
Banking & Reconciliation
- Follow up on accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile payables and receivables regularly.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Handle other banking-related activities.
- Manage petty cash transactions and records.
Financial & Business Analysis
- Analyse sales, Profit & Loss, and other financial and business data.
- Prepare relevant MIS reports for management.
- Identify key gaps, business opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
- Provide financial insights and advice by analysing operational issues and applying financial principles.
- Support management in financial and business decision-making.
Inventory Management
- Track inventory through the accounting/system software.
- Maintain records of finished goods.
- Monitor inward, outward, and transfer movements.
- Track raw materials and packaging materials.
- Ensure inventory records are accurate and updated.
Required Skills Accounting & Software:
- Knowledge of Tally.
- Positive knowledge of computer applications and accounting processes.
- Strong understanding of accounting transactions and financial records.
MS Office
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Advanced Excel knowledge, including:
- VLOOKUP.
- Pivot Tables.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
- Experience in the fashion industry will be an added advantage.
