Role Description The Senior Electrical Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Canada. This role is responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing electrical systems and layouts for projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards and codes. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing electrical schematics and specifications, overseeing power distribution and power system design, performing load calculations, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as project managers, architects, and contractors.

The Senior Electrical

Engineer will also conduct site inspections, troubleshoot electrical issues, support installation and commissioning activities, and prepare technical reports and documentation.



Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes is an integral part of this position.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and a solid understanding of Electricity fundamentals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including creating schematics, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Power Distribution, including load planning and system protection.
- Candidates should possess skills in Power Systems, including analysis, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Several years of experience in electrical design and engineering for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of relevant Indian and international electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with electrical design and simulation software (such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and lead junior staff.
