About the Role

We are looking for a

Lead DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in

AWS and

GitHub to design, implement, and scale our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll architect robust systems, mentor a team of engineers, and drive best practices across automation, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on

AWS

(EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation/Terraform, etc.)

- Own and evolve

CI/CD pipelines using

GitHub Actions

, GitHub Enterprise, and related tooling

- Lead infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools

- Architect and manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)

- Establish and enforce DevOps best practices: version control workflows, branching strategies, code review standards, and release management on GitHub

- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)

- Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning across AWS environments

- Champion security best practices — IAM policies, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance

- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems for production issues

- Mentor and guide junior/mid-level DevOps engineers; conduct code and infrastructure reviews





- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to streamline release cycles

- Evaluate and introduce new tools/technologies to improve deployment speed, reliability, and scalability

- Own documentation of infrastructure, runbooks, and deployment processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles

- Solid, hands-on expertise with

AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudWatch)

- Deep experience with

GitHub

— Actions, workflows, branch protection, GitHub Apps/webhooks, repository governance

- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)

- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go)

- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines end-to-end

- Working knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancing, and security groups

- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) is a plus

- Strong understanding of monitoring/observability stacks

- Excellent troubleshooting and incident management skills

- Experience leading or mentoring a team, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
