Job Summary

- We are looking for an experienced Design Head to lead our residential interior design team and manage projects from concept development to execution. The ideal candidate should have strong design sensibility, excellent knowledge of interior materials and construction methods, and the ability to manage clients, designers, costing and execution teams.

- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining *design quality, technical accuracy, client satisfaction, cost alignment and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete residential interior design process from concept to execution.

- Develop and review design concepts, space planning, 2D drawings, 3D designs, working drawings and detailed joinery drawings.

- Review and approve design deliverables to ensure aesthetic, functional and technical quality.

- Manage client meetings, understand requirements and present design concepts and material selections.

- Guide clients on laminates, veneers, acrylic, PU/lacquer, membrane, hardware, profiles, tiles, glass, lighting, sanitary and other finishes.

- Ensure designs are practical, buildable, durable and aligned with site conditions.

- Work closely with Sales, Estimation, Procurement, Visualization, Drafting and Project Execution teams.

- Coordinate with estimation teams to ensure designs are aligned with BOQ, budget and project scope.

- Review material specifications, hardware systems, joinery details and construction methods.

- Support value engineering and control unnecessary design variations.

- Conduct site visits and provide technical/design support during execution.





- Ensure proper design handover to execution teams with clear drawings, specifications and build notes.

- Manage design timelines and ensure projects are delivered as per committed schedules.

- Lead, mentor and develop junior and senior designers.

- Establish and maintain design standards, drawing standards and documentation processes.

- Resolve design and execution-related issues proactively.

Required Skills & Experience

- 12+ years of experience in Residential Interior Design, with strong experience in a senior/leadership role.

- Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.

- Strong experience in residential interiors, modular furniture and site-built interiors.

- Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, hardware, profiles, joinery and construction detailing.

- Good understanding of BOQ, costing, estimation and budget control.

- Strong client management and presentation skills.

- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of designers.

- Strong understanding of design-to-execution processes.

Software Skills

- AutoCAD Advanced

- SketchUp

- Enscape / V-Ray / Lumion

- Adobe Photoshop

- MS Excel / Google Sheets

- Added advantage: Revit, MS Project / Primavera and other design/project management tools.
