About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Draughtsman with strong expertise in preparing detailed engineering and fabrication drawings for tensile structures, steel structures, roofing, façade and related construction projects.

The candidate will be responsible for converting engineering concepts, structural designs and analysis inputs into accurate, detailed and fabrication-ready drawings while coordinating closely with the Design, Engineering, Production and Project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for tensile structures, steel structures, roofing and façade projects.
- Prepare GA (General Arrangement), fabrication, assembly and erection drawings.
- Develop detailed structural and architectural drawings based on design inputs.
- Prepare shop drawings and fabrication drawings for production and site execution.
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details and connection drawings.
- Develop accurate BOQ/BOM-related drawings and detailing wherever required.
- Prepare drawings for steel members, plates, brackets, base plates, connections and supporting structures.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and designers to incorporate design changes and revisions.
- Understand and interpret structural analysis results, design calculations, load information and engineering inputs for preparation of drawings.
- Coordinate with structural engineers regarding member sizes, loading conditions, support reactions, connections and structural detailing.
- Review drawings for dimensions, levels, sections, material specifications and constructability.
- Ensure drawings are prepared as per project specifications, approved designs and applicable standards.




- Prepare as-built drawings based on site requirements and actual execution.
- Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control and documentation.
- Coordinate with production/fabrication teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for site measurements and technical clarifications.
- Attend to drawing modifications based on client, consultant and project requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedules.
- Maintain a systematic record of approved, revised and superseded drawings.

Required Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of SketchUp / 3D modelling software will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Tekla Structures will be an added advantage.
- Basic to positive understanding of Structural Analysis and interpretation of structural analysis/design outputs.
- Ability to understand loads, reactions, member forces, deflection and load combinations from structural analysis reports.
- Knowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings.
- Understanding of steel sections, connections, plates, bolts, welding and fabrication methodology.
- Ability to read and understand structural, architectural and engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances, levels, sections and detailing.
- Knowledge of tensile membrane structures and roofing systems will be preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC / fabrication-related drawings and detailing will be an advantage.




- Ability to coordinate with structural engineers for incorporating analysis and design requirements into fabrication/shop drawings.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / Certificate in Draftsman, Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant experience in structural detailing and fabrication may also be considered.

Experience5–8 years of relevant experience in:

- Structural steel detailing
- Structural Analysis interpretation
- Tensile structures
- Roofing structures
- Fabrication drawings
- Construction / infrastructure projects
- Façade or architectural metalwork

Experience in airport, commercial, industrial, infrastructure or large-scale construction projects will be preferred. Key Competencies

Preferred Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in structural and fabrication detailing, along with a good understanding of structural analysis and engineering design requirements. The candidate should be capable of understanding structural analysis outputs and converting engineering/design requirements into accurate, detailed and fabrication-ready drawings.

Experience in tensile membrane structures, steel structures, roofing, façade, fabrication and site execution drawings will be highly preferred.
