Role Description The Senior Design and Lead Engineer - Structures will lead structural design and development activities for complex engineering projects, ensuring robust, safe, and compliant solutions. This full-time, on-site role in Pune City involves owning structural concepts, performing detailed design, guiding CAD and analysis teams, and validating designs through calculations, simulations, and reviews. The role includes collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, preparing technical documentation, supporting design optimization for cost, manufacturability,



and performance, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer requirements.

The engineer will mentor junior team members, coordinate with global teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong structural engineering skills, including structural design, analysis, and validation using relevant tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD and CAE tools commonly used for structural design in automotive, aerospace, or industrial domains.
- Experience with material selection, manufacturing processes, and design for durability, reliability, and safety.
- Ability to lead projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage stakeholder expectations and technical deliverables.
- Excellent technical communication skills, including preparation of reports, specifications, and design documentation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead structural engineering role within a product development environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to structural design and testing.
- Demonstrated capability in problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of design processes.
- Comfort working in global, diverse teams and adapting to agile project needs and timelines.
