About KN Construction Consultants LLP

KN Construction Consultants LLP works with clients in the United States on residential construction projects, supporting them across estimating, specifications, purchasing, design coordination and construction documentation.

We are looking for a Senior Interior CAD Designer who can take ownership of detailed interior construction drawings and work directly with our US-based client and interior design team.

This will be the first dedicated position of this kind within our India team, so we are looking for someone who can work independently, take responsibility for the quality of the work, and eventually help build and lead this function.

The Role

Our primary requirement is someone who is exceptionally strong at producing detailed interior elevations and construction drawings.

The objective is to create drawings that can effectively be handed directly to a subcontractor and used for construction, with little room for interpretation or guesswork.

For example, a bathroom elevation should clearly communicate the exact vanity, countertop, mirror and lighting locations, relevant fixtures, dimensions, materials, specifications and other information required for installation. This is the level of detailing that is needed in the drawings produced. You will be the owner of this entire exercise which makes it necessary for you to have relevant experience in US projects.

The role will also involve:

- Preparing detailed interior elevations and construction drawings for US residential projects.




- Translating interior design decisions into accurate, buildable documentation.
- Coordinating with the client and interior designer and participating in project calls.
- Reviewing and coordinating cabinet/shop drawings and purchases with our Chinese supplier.
- Checking dimensions, fixtures, fittings, materials and specifications for accuracy.
- Ensuring design selections and project information are correctly reflected in the drawings.
- Supporting material take-offs and cost estimating.
- Reviewing high-resolution 3D/Matterport imagery from projects and identifying discrepancies between site conditions and drawings.
- Performing detailed drawing QA/QC and identifying potential issues before they reach the field.
- Helping establish standards and processes for the interior documentation function as it grows.

What We're Looking For

- 4+ years of skilled experience in interior design, architecture, architectural drafting or construction documentation.
- Excellent AutoCAD/CAD skills with strong experience producing detailed construction drawings.
- Proven experience creating interior elevations, particularly for residential kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, millwork and other interiors.
- Strong understanding of construction detailing, dimensions, materials, fixtures and installation requirements.




- US residential project experience is madatory.
- Previous experience working directly with US clients, architects, interior designers, contractors or builders will be a major advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies independently.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to discuss drawings and requirements directly with clients.
- Ability to take ownership of work rather than requiring continuous supervision.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
