- ABOUT AVS LIFTS
- Akrivis Vertical Solutions Pvt Ltd (AVS Lifts) manufactures sheet metal elevator components in Hyderabad: landing door frames (centre-opening and telescopic, Fermator/Genesis-type), cabin panels, car frames, motor bases and brackets, cut on Amada, Salvagnini, Bodor and Raytools lasers and bent on CNC press brakes. We are digitising the whole factory with an in-house MES, and the design library is the next piece.
- THE ROLE
- We have a library of existing AutoCAD 2D drawings and physical parts for our full product range. We want it rebuilt as a proper parametric SolidWorks library: change a door opening width, height or gauge in a table and the whole assembly, flat patterns, DXFs and BOM update correctly. You will build that library, then own it, and guide our two junior designers. You report directly to the founder.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build parametric, configurable assemblies for each product family (door frames, cabin panels, car frames, motor bases, brackets) using design tables, equations and configurations: one master model per family, not one file per variant.
- Convert existing 2D AutoCAD drawings into SolidWorks sheet metal models. Where drawings are missing or wrong, measure the actual parts (vernier, tape, angle and radius gauges) and model from the physical piece.
- Set up gauge tables and bend allowance / K-factor / bend deduction values matched to our press brake tooling so flat patterns cut and bend right the first time.
- Generate flat-pattern DXFs for laser nesting, fabrication drawings with bend sequences, weld/assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Standardise part numbering, file structure and revision control.
- Work with production to design out manufacturability problems: minimum flange lengths, hole-to-bend distances, weld access, relief cuts.
- Handle customer-specific variants and drawing changes quickly and cleanly.
- Guide our two junior designers and review their work.
- REQUIREMENTS
- 4 to 8 years hands-on SolidWorks sheet metal design, with parametric work you can show: design tables, equations, configurations. Modelling one-off parts in 3D is not enough.
- Sheet metal module: base and edge flanges, hems, jogs, lofted bends, forming tools, flat patterns, gauge tables, multibody parts.
- Competent in AutoCAD 2D; you will be reading and converting a lot of it.
- Understands laser cutting, punching, CNC bending and welding well enough to design for them.
- Reads GD&T; and tolerances correctly.
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical.
- Elevator industry is a robust plus; doors, enclosures, panels, furniture, automotive sheet metal or any high-variant fabricated product is fine.
- Plus points: DriveWorksXpress or SolidWorks macros, SolidWorks PDM, CSWP, nesting software exposure (CypCut, SigmaNEST, Lantek or similar).
- WHAT WE OFFER
- Greenfield: you set the standard for how our products are modelled, and your work goes straight from your screen to the laser.
- Direct with the founder, in a company that is systematising, so your library will actually be used.
- CTC of 5 to 8 LPA depending on experience.
- TO APPLY
- Apply with your CV and 2 or 3 examples (screenshots or PDFs) of parametric assemblies or design tables you personally built. Shortlisted candidates will get a short practical test: model one of our parts from a drawing and a physical sample.
