The Security Officer will be responsible for leading and driving the organization’s end-to-end security strategy across all India locations. The role encompasses physical security, corporate security governance, emergency response, digital security experience (in collaboration with IT), risk management, investigations, crisis management, and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will establish a high-performance security culture through discipline, operational excellence, and proactive risk mitigation while ensuring business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive site specific security strategy aligned with business objectives.
Lead all aspects of physical security across manufacturing plants, offices, warehouses, R&D; centers, and other facilities.
Drive corporate security governance, policies, standards, SOPs, and security compliance across all locations.
Establish robust access control, visitor management, surveillance (CCTV), command center operations, intrusion detection, and incident management systems.
Partner with IT and Digital teams to enhance the digital security experience through integrated security technologies, smart access systems, analytics, and digital monitoring platforms.
Lead emergency response planning, crisis management, disaster preparedness, and business continuity initiatives.
Build strong relationships with Police, Fire Services, District Administration, Intelligence Agencies, and other government authorities to ensure effective coordination during emergencies.
Lead investigations into security incidents, theft, fraud, workplace violence, and policy violations while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Conduct periodic security risk assessments, vulnerability studies, and threat intelligence reviews, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
Manage outsourced security agencies through strong governance, performance management, audits, and continuous improvement.
Develop security budgets, optimize costs, and drive operational excellence without compromising security standards.
Lead security awareness programs, emergency drills, executive protection protocols, and employee safety initiatives.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, corporate policies, and global security standards.
Provide strategic leadership to regional security teams, fostering accountability, discipline, and a high-performance culture.
Candidate Profile
Graduate in any discipline; postgraduate qualifications in Security Management, Risk Management, or Business Management are preferred.
Mandatory: Commissioned Officer or equivalent leadership experience from the Armed Forces, Paramilitary Forces, or Central Police Organizations.
18–25+ years of progressive experience in corporate and industrial security, with significant leadership responsibility across multiple locations.
Proven experience leading security functions for large multinational organizations or major manufacturing and industrial environments.

Experience leading security for multinational corporations, global capability centers, manufacturing plants, or critical infrastructure.
Exposure to integrated security operations across multiple states in India.
Demonstrated success in transforming security functions through technology, governance, and operational excellence.
This role requires an accomplished security leader who combines military discipline with corporate maturity, has a proven track record of leading large, geographically dispersed security operations, and can build a world-class, technology-enabled security organization while ensuring the safety of people, assets, information, and business operations across India.
