Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Applied AI Engineer with a strong software engineering background and hands-on experience building and supporting production-grade AI/GenAI applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, AI agents, APIs, backend development, and enterprise integrations. This role will involve taking ownership of existing AI applications, stabilizing and enhancing them, and developing new AI-powered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and support production-grade AI and GenAI applications.
- Build LLM-powered applications using platforms such as Azure OpenAI or similar enterprise AI services.
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, indexing, vector search, retrieval, and grounding.
- Develop AI agents, tool-calling workflows, and intelligent automation solutions.
- Convert AI prototypes and proof-of-concepts into scalable and maintainable production applications.
- Develop APIs, backend services, integrations, and data-processing workflows.




- Troubleshoot and stabilize existing AI applications, integrations, data pipelines, and AI workflows.
- Implement AI evaluation, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and observability.
- Develop automated unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
- Implement AI security practices covering prompt injection, data leakage, sensitive information, authorization, hallucinations, and responsible AI.
- Work with relational databases, vector databases, document stores, and enterprise search platforms.
- Follow modern software engineering practices including Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API documentation, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and technology vendors.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with at least one additional programming language such as C#, Java, or TypeScript.
- Strong experience in developing LLM/GenAI applications.
- Solid experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search, document ingestion, and grounding.
- Experience developing APIs, backend services, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable application development.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and data workflows.
- Experience with vector databases, document stores, or enterprise search platforms.




- Experience with Git, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and code-review practices.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production applications.
- Understanding of AI risks such as prompt injection, hallucinations, sensitive-data exposure, and authorization boundaries.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, or similar enterprise AI platforms.
- Experience building AI agents and tool-calling workflows.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
- Experience with AI evaluation, observability, prompt/model versioning, or LLM security.
- Experience integrating AI applications with Salesforce, Microsoft 365, MuleSoft, CRM, or other enterprise platforms.
- Experience with ETL tools, data pipelines, data warehouses, or enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with intelligent automation or RPA.
- Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with traditional machine learning, model fine-tuning, or model serving.
- Experience working with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, and vendor-management teams.
