What You'll Do
As a Senior AOCS Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the development and operation of spacecraft Attitude and Orbit Control Systems. You will work across attitude and orbit determination, guidance and control algorithms, spacecraft dynamics and simulation, sensor and actuator integration, and system-level verification and testing. You will contribute to taking AOCS algorithms from analysis and simulation through hardware integration, qualification, and mission operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test AOCS algorithms for satellite rendezvous and proximity operations
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity 6-DoF spacecraft dynamics and AOCS simulation environments
- Design and implementation of onboard position and attitude determination algorithms
- Perform Monte Carlo analysis, sensitivity analysis, performance assessment, and AOCS budget analysis
- Translate spacecraft-level and mission-level requirements into AOCS algorithms and test cases
- Support integration of sensors and actuators into the satellite platform
- Support SIL, PIL, HIL, and hardware-level AOCS verification and validation campaigns
- Analyze AOCS performance under sensor errors, actuator uncertainties, disturbances, and off-nominal conditions
- Collaborate with mission design, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of AOCS into the satellite platform
What We Look For
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control Systems, Physics, or a related engineering discipline
- 3+ years of professional experience in spacecraft/satellite AOCS, or related systems
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, and/or Python
- Solid understanding of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics, estimation, and control systems
- Ability to analyze system performance, identify failure modes, and debug AOCS issues across simulation and hardware
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills
- You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapt quickly, and enjoy solving hard problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working through spacecraft development phases such as PDR, CDR, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing
- Experience with flight software integration and onboard implementation of AOCS algorithms
- Experience working with EM/FM spacecraft hardware and system-level integration and testing
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation including ESOPs
- Role based workplace flexibility
- Annual vacations
- Health insurance coverage
- Professional mental wellness services
- Gym membership
