Responsibilities
Key Requirements
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in Property Accounting (PA).
- Prior experience in US Real Estate / Property Accounting strongly preferred.
- Solid command of month-end close procedures, including maintaining close workpapers, variance analysis, correct income/expense classification, accruals and prepaids, fixed assets, management fees, bad debt analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Proven ability to review income statements and balance sheets to identify risks and issues, and to clearly summarize the drivers of financial statement fluxes.
- Sound judgment in reviewing expenses and determining appropriate capitalization versus expense treatment.
- Proficient in MS Excel, with preferable working knowledge of ERP systems such as JDE, Yardi, MRI, Oracle, or SAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with US-based stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently in an individual contributor (IC) capacity, managing deliverables end-to-end with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to take on ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B. Com/M. Com/MBA-Finance) required; CPA, CMA, or CA (Inter) is a plus."
- Willingness to work in US Shift hours, starting at 5:00 PM IST / 6.00 PM IST.
