Description HSBC is seeking a Sr. Associate Director, Tech SME to lead the development and implementation of a Generative AI Agent platform for banking services.

Experience

- 5+ years handson coding practice
- 2+ years building and shipping LLM/GenAI applications

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science/Engineering or related

Responsibilities

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define, build and implement a Generative AI Agent platform
- Architect enterprise-grade platform capabilities including agent orchestration, workflow design, tool/function integration, memory and state management, skill registry/management, and reusable patterns
- Drive platform adoption at scale through reference implementations, onboarding pathways, developer enablement, and governance
- Own platform performance management by defining success metrics and SLOs, implementing observability, running evaluations, and tuning reliability, accuracy, latency and cost
- Oversee end-to-end delivery execution managing scope, risks, dependencies and milestones
- Coordinate across teams to remove blockers and ensure timely,



high-quality outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership translating technical options into recommendations and delivery plans
- Stay current on GenAI/agent advancements and drive pragmatic upgrades to keep the platform secure, compliant and competitive

Additional Responsibilities

- Work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Apply AI-driven approaches including coding assistants to improve productivity, quality, and engineering best practices
