About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Inventory & Intercompany Accountant to join our Finance team in Pune. The role will be responsible for inventory accounting, intercompany accounting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage inventory accounting, including inventory valuation, reconciliation, provisions, and adjustments.
- Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.




- Investigate and resolve inventory and intercompany mismatches/differences.
- Support intercompany confirmations, settlements, and balance clearing.
- Ensure transactions comply with US GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules, documentation, and explanations.
- Identify process gaps and support process improvements and automation.
- Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Tax, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX/JSOX requirements.

What you’ll bring - Required Skills & Experience

- 5–9 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, preferably in a global organization.
- CA / CMA qualifications are mandatory.
- Strong experience in Inventory Accounting and Intercompany Accounting.
- Good understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle is preferred.
- Good understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with global/multi-location finance teams is an advantage.
