We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations, preferably with experience in the e-commerce industry.
Key Responsibilities
Mandatory: Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2–3 years of experience in an e-commerce and online retail based company.
- Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and pass journal entries.
- Perform periodic account reconciliations.
- Conduct brand-wise reconciliation and coordinate with brands to collect and verify financial data.
- Analyze financial performance and profitability.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Prepare, review, and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes.
- Manage accounting operations related to the e-commerce business model.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with BUSY Accounting Software is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the e-commerce industry will be preferred.
- CPA/CMA qualification will be an added advantage.
