Urgent opening with a reputed leading group of company hiring for the position of Senior Manager-Logistics Sidheegram, Gujarat

Qualification: Graduate in any discipline.

MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or Materials Management will be preferred.

Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or supply chain operations.

Exposure to logistics operations in a Cement manufacturing setup is essential.

Job Purpose: The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating plant distribution and dispatch operations, ensuring smooth truck/bulker movement, timely vehicle placement, transporter and packing-plant coordination, invoice/bill processing, MIS/records, resolution of unloading issues, and compliance with IMS & safety norms.

Role and Responsibilities

- Execute dispatches as per Marketing plans and coordinate with truck/bulker transporters to achieve daily targets.
- Arrange trucks/bulkers to achieve dispatches of 4,000 TPD, subject to cement availability.
- Maintain 90%+ customer service levels, subject to order availability and dispatch capacity.
- Monitor prevailing market freight rates to optimize logistics costs.
- Drive and support logistics digitization initiatives.




- Ensure effective use of SAP for logistics operations.
- Supervise hired truck/bulker movement, vehicle tracking, bill processing and payments.
- Coordinate with Sales & Marketing, branches, transporters, packing plant and production for smooth dispatch operations.
- Resolve unloading and delivery issues with branch offices and transporters.
- Ensure timely vehicle placement and smooth inward/outward truck movement.
- Oversee end-to-end logistics and dispatch management for timely customer fulfilment.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation/issuance of distribution and logistics invoices/bills.
- Maintain logistics/distribution records, documentation and MIS reports.
- Ensure completeness and availability of all operational records and documents.
- Ensure compliance with IMS guidelines and safety norms, including reporting near misses, unsafe conditions/acts and improvement suggestions.
