We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) SME / Senior Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP PS implementation projects. The ideal candidate should have excellent functional expertise in Project Systems, robust business process knowledge, and proven experience in gathering requirements, conducting workshops, performing fit-gap analysis, and providing end-to-end SAP solutions.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and client teams to understand project management and project accounting requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support end-to-end SAP Project Systems (PS) implementation activities.
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to project planning, execution, monitoring, and financial management.
- Conduct business requirement gathering and client workshops with key stakeholders.
- Understand existing business processes and identify gaps between business requirements and SAP standard functionality.
- Perform detailed fit-gap analysis and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
- Design and provide end-to-end functional solutions for SAP PS processes.
- Configure SAP PS based on approved business requirements and solution designs.
- Work closely with business users to understand project management, budgeting, planning, cost tracking, and project settlement requirements.
- Define appropriate project structures, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project-related master data.
- Support project planning, budgeting, cost planning, actual cost tracking, commitments, and project monitoring processes.
- Support integration of SAP PS with relevant SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP.
- Analyze integration requirements and coordinate with cross-functional teams for solution implementation.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, process flows,



and other project deliverables.
- Lead and support SIT, UAT, integration testing, and defect resolution.
- Support data migration, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Provide functional guidance and act as an SME for complex SAP PS requirements and issues.
- Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for business users and support teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend SAP best practices.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure successful development and implementation of required enhancements.
- Support production issues and provide root-cause analysis where required.

Must-Have Skills

- 6+ years of SAP PS functional consulting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Project Systems (PS).
- Proven experience in SAP PS implementation projects.
- Strong experience in business requirement gathering.
- Hands-on experience conducting business workshops with client stakeholders.
- Strong experience in fit-gap analysis and solution design.
- Ability to provide end-to-end SAP PS solutions.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, costing, and project execution processes.
- Experience working with WBS, Networks, Activities, Milestones, and Project Definitions.
- Good understanding of project cost planning, actual costs, commitments, and settlement processes.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PS integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP.
- Experience in functional documentation, testing, defect management, and deployment.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori applications related to Project Systems.




- Knowledge of project budgeting, availability control, and cost forecasting.
- Experience with project revenue planning and billing processes.
- Exposure to Results Analysis and project settlement.
- Knowledge of SAP PS integration with procurement, sales, production, and finance processes.
- Experience in global SAP implementation or rollout projects.
- Exposure to SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience preparing business process documents, solution design documents, and training materials.
- SAP certification in Project Systems / S/4HANA is an advantage.

Client-Facing Responsibilities

- Act as the primary functional SME for SAP PS during workshops and solution discussions.
- Present proposed solutions and demonstrate SAP functionality to client stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussions with business teams to finalize requirements and solution approaches.
- Explain fit-gap findings and recommend standard SAP solutions wherever possible.
- Coordinate with onsite/offshore and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular status updates on functional deliverables.

Implementation & Testing

- Participate in all phases of SAP PS implementation, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Prepare test scenarios and support SIT/UAT execution.
- Coordinate with business users for defect identification, analysis, and resolution.
- Validate end-to-end integration scenarios across SAP modules.
- Support cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–9 years of relevant SAP PS functional consulting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and workshop-facilitation capabilities.
- Comfortable working directly with client and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with global delivery teams.
