SAP MM/SD Consultant

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled SAP MM/SD Consultant to join an Application Management Services (AMS) team in Hyderabad. You'll provide day-to-day functional support across the Materials Management and Sales & Distribution modules for Americas-based clients, with a particular focus on Mexico-specific configurations and business processes.

This role involves managing multiple concurrent client projects and support workstreams, so you'll need to be comfortable context-switching, communicating clearly across time zones, and delivering consistently under SLA commitments. If you enjoy variety, direct client interaction, and solving real operational problems in SAP, this is a good fit.

SAP MM — Materials Management

- Manage and support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes — purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoice verification
- Configure and maintain MM master data: material master, vendor master, purchasing info records, and source lists
- Support inventory management processes including goods movements, stock transfers, and physical inventory
- Troubleshoot and resolve MM incidents, service requests, and change requests within defined SLAs
- Handle Mexico-specific tax and localization requirements in MM, including CFDI compliance, SAT regulations, and VAT/IVA handling

SAP SD — Sales & Distribution

- Support Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes including sales orders, deliveries, billing, and returns
- Configure and maintain SD master data: customer master, pricing conditions, output determination, and partner functions
- Handle Mexico-specific SD localization including electronic invoicing (CFDI/e-factura), payment terms, and fiscal document requirements




- Support integration touchpoints between SD, MM, FI, and WM modules
- Assist with credit management, availability check, and backorder processing configurations

AMS Support and Delivery

- Serve as a first point of contact for SAP MM/SD functional issues raised by Americas-based client teams
- Manage and deliver across multiple simultaneous client projects and support engagements, maintaining quality and timeliness across all workstreams
- Prioritize and context-switch effectively between parallel tracks including AMS support, enhancements, and testing cycles
- Analyze and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes that prevent recurrence
- Manage tickets in alignment with AMS SLA commitments and escalation procedures
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings with onshore AMS counterparts
- Prepare and maintain functional specification documents, test scripts, and configuration documentation
- Coordinate with ABAP and Basis teams for enhancements and transport management
- Support quarterly and year-end business processes for Mexico and broader AMS clients

Training and Documentation

- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to maximize the effective use of SAP ECC systems
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP ECC processes and configurations

Required Experience





- 4 to 7 years of hands-on SAP functional experience with strong proficiency in both MM and SD
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver across multiple concurrent SAP projects or support tracks
- Proven experience with Mexico country-specific configurations and localizations — CFDI, SAT, IVA/VAT, and electronic invoicing
- Experience in an AMS or production support environment with SLA-driven delivery
- Strong understanding of integration between MM, SD, FI, and WM modules
- Comfortable working PST-aligned hours (6:00 AM–1:00 PM IST) from the Hyderabad office on a consistent basis
- Excellent verbal and written English — you'll interact directly with Americas-based business users and stakeholders
- Experience with SAP ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or SAP Solution Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP certification in MM or SD (Certified Application Associate or equivalent)
- Experience with SAP Transportation & Distribution (TD) module integration with MM and SD — shipment processes, freight order management, and TD-MM/SD interface scenarios
- Experience supporting multi-country AMS engagements across Latin America
- Working knowledge of Spanish is an advantage
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Fiori applications and ECC migration considerations
- Exposure to EDI/IDoc processing for procurement and sales order automation
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager or cloud-based ITSM tools for incident lifecycle management
