Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on SAP MDK Lead with 711 years of overall experience in SAP Mobility and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Mobile Services, and mobile solution architecture.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, deployment, and support of SAP mobile applications while actively contributing to technical implementation.

This role requires a combination of technical leadership, hands-on development capability, team mentoring, and client-facing communication skills to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end design and development of mobile applications using SAP MDK.
- Act as a hands-on technical lead, contributing directly to development, configuration, code reviews, debugging, and deployment activities.
- Design and implement mobile solutions integrated with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, OData services, and backend systems.
- Define application architecture, development standards, reusable components, and best practices for MDK-based solutions.
- Work closely with functional consultants, architects, business stakeholders, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and consume OData services and integrate backend APIs to ensure seamless online and offline data synchronization.
- Manage application deployment, versioning, transport, and release activities across Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to MDK applications, device compatibility, performance, and integrations.




- Guide and mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and quality processes.
- Support estimation, solution design, effort planning, and technical governance for SAP Mobility initiatives.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, hypercare, and production support activities as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security, authentication, and mobile device management considerations.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in SAP Mobility and mobile application development.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK).
- Good working knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Hands-on experience with SAP Mobile Services.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and backend systems using OData services.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, mobile UI development concepts, and application lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST and OData APIs.
- Good understanding of offline-enabled mobile applications, synchronization mechanisms, and mobile architecture patterns.
- Experience with mobile application deployment and configuration.
- Familiarity with mobile security, authentication mechanisms, certificates, and enterprise mobility practices.
- Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and resolving production issues in SAP mobile applications.




- Ability to lead technical discussions, prepare solution design documents, and review technical deliverables.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP Work Manager, SAP Asset Manager, or other SAP Mobility solutions.
- Exposure to SAP BTP services, cloud integration, and extension architecture.
- Understanding of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5 concepts, and the broader SAP UX strategy.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, transport management, and DevOps practices for mobile applications.
- Exposure to cross-platform mobile frameworks or native mobile development concepts.
- Experience in manufacturing, utilities, mining, field service, or asset-intensive industries.
- Exposure to AI/Generative AI.
- Knowledge of Prompt Engineering.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- SAP Mobility or SAP BTP certifications will be an added advantage.
