Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP EWM Senior Consultant / Lead with strong expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management to lead end-to-end implementation, rollout, and support activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM and/or Decentralized EWM , along with expertise in warehouse processes, RF Framework, HU Management, POSC/LOSC, QIE/QM integration, warehouse automation, 3PL integrations, and cross-functional integration with MM, SD, PP, QM, and TM.
The candidate should be capable of independently leading solution workshops, understanding business requirements, designing scalable solutions, and coordinating with business, technical, and external vendor teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end SAP EWM implementation, rollout, and support projects.
- Conduct requirement gathering, business process workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Provide solid hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM and/or Decentralized EWM .
- Configure and support core warehouse processes, including:
- Inbound
- Outbound
- Putaway
- Picking
- Packing
- Replenishment
- Internal Warehouse Processes
- Physical Inventory
- Configure and manage Warehouse Structures , including Storage Types, Storage Sections, Activity Areas, Work Centers, and Warehouse Process Types (WPT).
- Configure and support Handling Unit (HU) Management , packaging specifications, and warehouse order creation.
- Design and support RF Framework , RF screens, queues, resource management, and mobile warehouse processes.
- Implement and support Process-Oriented Storage Control (POSC) and Layout-Oriented Storage Control (LOSC) .
- Work with Quality Inspection Engine (QIE) and SAP QM integration for warehouse quality processes.
- Configure and support Production Supply, Staging, Posting Changes, Stock Transfers,
and Scrapping processes.
- Ensure seamless integration of EWM with SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, and TM .
- Work on warehouse automation and material handling system integration , including AGVs, conveyors, scanners, and other automation solutions.
- Support 3PL integrations using APIs, IDocs, RFCs, web services, and other interfaces.
- Prepare functional specifications and work closely with ABAP/technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and custom developments.
- Conduct Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities.
- Support data migration, master data validation, and cutover planning .
- Troubleshoot complex SAP EWM functional issues and provide effective solutions.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, integration teams, and external vendors.
- Identify opportunities for warehouse process optimization and system improvements.
- Lead and mentor junior EWM consultants where required.
Required Technical Skills
- 10–12 years of overall SAP experience with strong hands-on SAP EWM experience.
- Strong expertise in SAP EWM implementation and support .
- Hands-on experience in S/4HANA Embedded EWM and/or Decentralized EWM .
- Multiple end-to-end SAP EWM implementation/rollout experience preferred.
- Strong configuration and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience with RF/mobile warehouse transactions .
- Exposure to warehouse automation, AGV, conveyors, scanners, and material handling systems .
- Experience with 3PL integration using API, IDoc, RFC, web services, or similar technologies.
- Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA integration and warehouse business processes .
Implementation & Project Skills
- Experience in Fit-Gap analysis and solution workshops .
- Ability to independently gather requirements and translate them into scalable SAP EWM solutions.
- Experience in configuration, UT, SIT, UAT, cutover, Go-Live, and hypercare .
- Experience with data migration and master data validation .
- Ability to prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP/technical teams.
- Strong production support and complex issue-resolution experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP EWM certification is an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, metals, mining, automotive, or similar industries .
- Experience working on large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs .
- Exposure to highly automated warehouse environments .
- Experience leading EWM workstreams or mentoring EWM consultants.
Location & Travel Requirements
- Preferred Base Locations: Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi NCR.
- Candidates from these locations will be preferred.
- Candidates from other locations may also be considered if they are willing to travel or relocate based on client/project requirements .
- The resource must be flexible and willing to travel to client locations as required.
- Travel may be required for short-term or long-term assignments , particularly during implementation, deployment, Go-Live, and hypercare phases.
