1. Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to the unique risks associated with chemical manufacturing.
2. Ensure all safety programs are up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
3. Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety hazards.
4. Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to manage identified risks.
5. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal occupational safety regulations.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to the chemical industry.
7. Prepare and submit required safety reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
8. Design and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including recent hire orientation, ongoing training, and emergency response training.
9. Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses. Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the plant to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
11. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
12. Coordinate emergency drills and ensure all employees are trained on emergency protocols.
13. Work closely with plant management, engineering, and operations teams to integrate safety into all aspects of plant operations.
