Role Description The Safety Officer role at Thermax Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Satara.

The Safety

Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and security standards across the facility, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining safety documentation and incident reports. The role involves leading safety trainings and awareness programs for employees and contractors, supporting accident investigations,



and coordinating with site management to drive continuous improvement in safety practices.

Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safety-first culture and support occupational health initiatives at the site.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge and practical experience in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply regulatory and industry standards on-site.
- Demonstrated skills in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, documentation, and development of preventive measures.
- Experience in Safety Training, with the ability to design and deliver engaging safety sessions and toolbox talks for diverse teams.
- Understanding of Security practices relevant to industrial sites, including coordination with security personnel to maintain a secure work environment.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; skilled safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Familiarity with local and international safety regulations and standards applicable to manufacturing and industrial operations.
- Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with employees at all levels.
- Prior experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar safety-focused role in industrial or manufacturing settings is preferred.
