Role Description This full-time Safety Officer role is an on-site position based at the Camlin Fine Sciences facility in Dahej.

The Safety

Officer will oversee day-to-day occupational health and safety activities, including monitoring compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and site procedures across production and support areas.

Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits; identifying hazards; and recommending corrective and preventive actions to maintain safe working conditions.



The role involves developing and updating safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans, as well as organizing safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.

The Safety

Officer will participate in incident investigations, maintain safety documentation and reports, coordinate with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to process safety, environmental health, and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, chemical industry safety standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Candidates should possess skills in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Candidates should possess experience in developing safety procedures, SOPs, emergency response plans, and conducting safety audits and inspections.
- Candidates should possess the ability to plan and deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for diverse workforce groups.
- Candidates should possess solid communication, documentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, maintenance, and management teams.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with PPE usage, safe handling of chemicals, and process safety concepts relevant to manufacturing plants.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Safety, Environment, Engineering, or related discipline; additional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH
