Your impact

As the Run Team Lead, you will play a key role in maintaining the live service environment, ensuring platforms are reliable, secure, and delivering value to users. You will act as a bridge between engineering, platform teams, and end users, coordinating support, improvements, and releases to maintain a high-quality service. You will help balance innovation with operational stability. This will be a hands-on technical role.

Key Responsibilities

- Support ownership of the live platform service, ensuring uptime, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage service health, ensuring SLAs and operational targets are met.
- Coordinate incident management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and support the run (operations) team, ensuring monitoring and alerting are in place.
- Act as gatekeeper for platform releases, ensuring stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to support build-to-run transition.
- Support cost management and optimisation.
- Contribute to platform standards, governance, and procedures.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure high-quality support experience.
- Provide reporting on platform performance, risks, and improvement

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in platform, operations, or service management roles.
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar platforms.




- Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of software development, deployment, and testing practices.
- Understanding of service management principles (SLAs, uptime, incident management).
- Experience with monitoring and operational tooling.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and version control.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills.

Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting data or engineering platforms.
- Familiarity with SRE or platform reliability principles.
- Experience in large infrastructure or digital programmes.
- Exposure to cloud cost optimisation.
- Understanding of release management and change control.
