Position Overview:

We invite applications for Resident Medical Officers (RMO) / Junior Residents (JR) with a strong interest in clinical practice and patient care.

The role involves assisting consultants and senior doctors in the management of OPD, IPD, emergency, and ward patients. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day patient monitoring, clinical documentation, coordination with consultants and nursing teams, and timely management of patient-care requirements.

Candidates with prior clinical experience, hospital experience, internship experience, or experience in emergency/ward duties will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Attend to patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, wards, and other assigned clinical areas.
- Perform initial patient assessment and document relevant clinical history and examination findings.




- Monitor patients regularly and report significant changes in clinical condition to the concerned consultant/senior doctor.
- Assist consultants and senior doctors in the diagnosis and management of patients.
- Carry out routine clinical duties and procedures within the scope of qualification and institutional protocols.
- Assist in emergency patient assessment and initial management.
- Attend to medical emergencies and promptly escalate critical cases to senior doctors.
- Assist in admission, discharge, transfer, and referral procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely case sheets, progress notes, treatment records, discharge summaries, and other clinical documentation.
- Follow consultant instructions regarding investigations, treatment, medication, and patient monitoring.
- Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, nursing, and other hospital departments for patient care.
- Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, clinical status, and other relevant parameters as required.
- Assist in bedside procedures and minor clinical procedures as per competency and hospital protocols.
- Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, and clinical examinations.
- Participate in ward rounds and communicate relevant patient updates to the treating team.
- Ensure timely collection and follow-up of investigation reports.
- Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care wherever assigned.
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure appropriate implementation of treatment plans.
- Provide appropriate counselling and communication to patients and attendants within the scope of responsibility.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Participate in duty rosters, night duties,



emergency duties, and on-call responsibilities as required.
- Follow hospital infection-control practices and patient-safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, clinical protocols, ethical standards, and applicable medical regulations.
- Participate in academic activities, clinical discussions, CME programs, case presentations, and training sessions.
- Maintain professional conduct and effective communication with consultants, residents, nursing staff, technicians, patients, and attendants.

Eligibility:

Qualification:

- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the appropriate State Medical Council / National Medical Commission, as applicable.
- Candidates who have completed their internship and possess the required registration are eligible to apply.

Experience:

- Clinical experience is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in hospitals, wards, OPD, emergency services, ICU, or other clinical departments will be preferred.
- Fresh MBBS graduates who have completed internship may also be considered, subject to institutional requirements.

Preferred Skills:

- Good clinical assessment and patient-management skills.
- Prior hospital/clinical experience will be preferred.
- Experience in OPD, IPD, emergency, ward, or ICU duties will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of basic clinical examination and patient monitoring.
- Ability to identify and promptly escalate emergency and critical cases.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with consultants, residents, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals.
- Good clinical documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and emergency/on-call duties.
- Robust commitment to patient care, professional ethics, discipline, and confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and develop clinical skills in a busy teaching-hospital environment.
