About the Role
SWS LLP is looking for a sharp, research-oriented and execution-driven Research, Project Intelligence & Coordination Manager for a large-scale government and development-sector project in Madhya Pradesh.
This role sits at the intersection of Research, Data, Presentations, Project Documentation, Senior Management Support and Team Coordination .
The selected candidate will work closely with Project Directors, Superintendent Engineer, senior consultants, technical teams and field teams to research subjects, gather and interpret data, prepare presentations and reports, incorporate senior-level feedback and coordinate with internal teams until deliverables are completed.
This is not a conventional content-writing or desk research role. We need someone who can understand an unclear requirement, research it, identify the right evidence and statistics, build the narrative and convert it into a strong, decision-ready PPT, report or project document.
Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & Project Intelligence
- Conduct primary and secondary research on project-related subjects.
- Review government policies, reports, technical documents, research papers, datasets and institutional studies.
- Identify credible statistics, benchmarks, trends, case studies and evidence.
- Research subjects including:
- Water resources and water management
- Irrigation and pressurised irrigation
- Agriculture and agricultural productivity
- Rural development
- Water-use efficiency
- Farmer livelihoods
- Command area development
- Natural resource management
- Government schemes and programmes
- Social and economic impact
- Validate important facts, statistics and project claims before use.
- Summarise complex research into actionable insights for senior management.
PowerPoint & Presentation Development Presentation development will be a major part of this role.
The candidate should be able to:
- Build senior-management and government-facing presentations.
- Convert research and technical information into logical presentation storylines.
- Select and use relevant data, statistics, charts, tables, maps, photographs and evidence.
- Develop project review, progress, impact and thematic presentations.
- Convert discussions with Project Directors into structured presentation formats.
- Incorporate multiple rounds of feedback quickly and accurately.
- Coordinate with designers where required for final visual execution.
The candidate does not need to be a graphic designer but must be highly proficient in PowerPoint and presentation thinking . Data Gathering & Analysis
- Coordinate with project, technical and field teams for required information.
- Review Excel sheets, MIS data, survey information and field-level datasets.
- Identify missing information before preparing reports or presentations.
- Clean, organise and interpret data.
- Identify meaningful comparisons, trends and indicators.
- Convert data into charts, tables and management insights.
- Ensure numbers used in official presentations and reports are accurate and traceable.
We need someone who understands not only what a number is, but what it actually means and whether it supports the conclusion being presented . Reports & Documentation
Prepare and support development of:
- Project and progress reports
- Research reports
- Impact reports

The candidate should be able to convert scattered information into structured, concise and qualified documents. Project Director & Senior Management Support
- Work closely with Project Directors and senior project leadership.
- Understand their research, presentation and information requirements.
- Prepare background research before meetings and discussions.
- Participate in discussions and capture key requirements and action points.
- Convert verbal feedback into actionable tasks.
- Prepare and revise presentations, reports and research material.
- Maintain action trackers and follow up continuously for required inputs.
- Ensure deliverables move from requirement to final closure.
The role requires high responsiveness, ownership and follow-through . Government & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with the Superintendent Engineer and other senior project officials .
- Work with engineering and technical teams to understand project developments.
- Participate in project review and technical discussions.
- Gather required technical and field information.
- Prepare material for government reviews and senior-level presentations.
- Translate technical discussions into structured reports and communication.
The candidate is not expected to be an engineer but must be capable of understanding technical subjects sufficiently to research, analyse and communicate them accurately . Team Coordination & Execution The candidate will coordinate with internal research, content, design and field teams.
Responsibilities include
- Breaking senior management requirements into actionable tasks.
- Coordinating work across team members.
- Following up for data, content, research and design requirements.
- Reviewing inputs before submission.
- Maintaining trackers, timelines and pending-action lists.
- Coordinating revisions based on Project Director / senior management feedback.
- Ensuring final deliverables are completed within timelines.
We need someone who is comfortable driving work across multiple people and taking responsibility for closure .

Candidates from institutes such as IIFM Bhopal, IRMA, TISS, XIM University, MANAGE Hyderabad, TERI School of Advanced Studies , reputed Central Universities and similar management/development institutions will be preferred. Exceptional recent postgraduates from strong institutes with outstanding analytical, research and presentation capabilities may also be considered.
Skills Required

- Experience with AI-assisted research and productivity tools
AI proficiency is encouraged, but the candidate must have the judgement to verify information, interpret data, identify credible sources and build an effective narrative independently . Work Location & Travel
This role will involve work associated with the project in Rajgarh District, Madhya Pradesh , along with coordination with the Bhopal team.
- Stay / accommodation at the project location will be provided where applicable.
- Food and personal living expenses will be managed by the candidate.
- Official local project travel will be supported.
- Eligible TA/DA will be provided as per organisational/project policy.
- Periodic travel between Rajgarh and Bhopal may be required.
- Field visits to villages, irrigation sites, agricultural areas and government offices may be required.
