Regulatory Affairs CBO Stream | Open access, DISCOM approvals, and policy intelligence a direct P&L; protection function Regulatory Affairs Manager Department Reports To Hire Trigger Based At Regulatory Affairs CBO Day 1 — Critical Chennai Role Overview Owns both regulatory approval execution and regulatory intelligence. Open access approval delays of 3–6 months are the single most common cause of project delay in Indian C&I; renewables. A single adverse RERC order can make 20+ existing customer PPAs unviable overnight.

This is one of the highest-leverage roles in the company.

Key Responsibilities • Own end-to-end open access application from filing through commercial energization across all states of operation • Track and maintain a regulatory intelligence register — RERC and SERC orders, open access charge notifications, net metering policy changes, DISCOM circulars • File and follow up on net metering, gross metering,



and open access approvals with DISCOMs and state regulators in all operational states • Represent GreenION in stakeholder consultations at SERC hearings and policy forums • Advise BD team on whether open access is commercially viable for a prospect in a given state today • Coordinate with Legal on regulatory compliance documentation and dispute filings • Build and maintain relationships with DISCOM officials and state energy department contacts across all operational states • Flag regulatory risks to CBO with minimum 30 days advance notice before an order becomes effective Must-Have Profile • 6–10 years in power sector regulatory affairs, utility management, or energy policy • Deep knowledge of open access regulations, state electricity acts, and DISCOM interconnection processes • Experience filing regulatory applications and obtaining approvals from SERCs and DISCOMs • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in at least 3 major states — Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, or Gujarat Preferred / Bonus • Prior experience at a DISCOM, SERC, or power sector regulatory body — knows the internal approval process from the other side • Understanding of banking and wheeling charge structures and how they impact PPA economics • Experience representing industry in regulatory working groups Success Metrics — First 12–24 Months
