We're building a fintech-meets-fitness platform — a mobile app where users put real money on the line to stay accountable to their goals. Money movement, AI verification, live countdowns, and high-stakes moments of truth all live inside the app. That means two things matter more than usual: the money flows have to be airtight, and the experience has to feel premium. Animation and motion here aren't decoration — they carry the emotional weight of the product.

We're looking for a freelance React Native developer who takes the craft seriously: clean architecture, smooth motion, and a real testing discipline. Someone who's shipped enough production apps to know where things break, and who genuinely enjoys pushing into new tools and techniques rather than coasting on what already works.

What you'll be doing

- Building and shipping features across a production React Native app (Expo + EAS)
- Integrating and hardening payment flows — top-ups, withdrawals, escrow-style settlement
- Engineering animations and micro-interactions that feel intentional and run at a smooth 60fps
- Writing and maintaining end-to-end tests so releases ship with confidence, not crossed fingers
- Owning the build-to-store pipeline: EAS builds, OTA updates, App Store + Play Store submissions

Must-haves

- 3–5 years of building production React Native apps
- TypeScript is required — not optional, not "I've used it a bit." Robust typing discipline is non-negotiable




- Payment integration is a must — you've shipped real money flows (Razorpay, Stripe, or similar) and understand the failure cases that come with them
- At least 3 apps live on the App Store and Play Store — with links. We want to see what you've actually shipped, not a GitHub full of tutorials
- Deep Expo + EAS experience — builds, submits, OTA updates, the full pipeline. Not just expo start
- Strong animation skills — Reanimated, Gesture Handler, fluid transitions, micro-interactions that feel deliberate
- Hands-on E2E testing — Detox, Maestro, or equivalent, as a normal part of how you work
- Fluency with AI-assisted editors — Cursor, Windsurf, etc. You use modern tooling to move fast without dropping quality
- A genuine appetite to learn — you try new things, pick up unfamiliar tools quickly, and don't need to be spoon-fed

Preferred

- Native language experience — Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS) — for when React Native isn't enough, and you need to drop down to native modules
- CI/CD experience for mobile
- Comfort working independently in a freelance setup with clear ownership
