Role & responsibilities

- Ensure all construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable codes/standards.

- Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Control procedures.

- Conduct inspections of civil works including excavation, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing works.

- Review and verify materials received at site against approved specifications, drawings, and material submittals.

- Coordinate with the testing laboratory for material testing and maintain test reports and records.

- Ensure quality tests such as concrete cube tests, slump tests, soil compaction tests, and other required tests are conducted as per specifications.

- Inspect reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, levels, dimensions, and alignment before concrete casting.

- Raise and close Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

- Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Maintain quality documentation, inspection checklists, test reports, approvals, and records.

- Coordinate with the Client, PMC, consultants, subcontractors,



and site execution team regarding quality-related matters.

- Monitor subcontractor and vendor compliance with approved quality requirements.

- Ensure proper implementation of approved method statements and ITPs at site.

- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of ongoing works.

- Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable IS codes.

- Review and maintain calibration records of testing and measuring equipment.

- Assist in preparation of Method Statements, Quality Procedures, Checklists, and Work Inspection Requests.

- Maintain records for material approvals, test certificates, warranties, and quality documentation required for handover.

- Participate in internal and external quality audits.

- Identify recurring quality issues and recommend improvements to construction processes.

- Coordinate with the execution team to prevent rework and minimize quality-related delays and costs.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for project management.

- Ensure all quality-related observations are closed within the specified timeframe.

- Support preparation of As-Built documentation and final quality dossiers for project handover.
