Role Description The QA Lead (Playwright WebdriverIO) is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role is responsible for leading quality assurance activities for web applications, including designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Playwright and WebdriverIO. Day-to-day tasks include creating test plans and test cases, executing functional, regression, and integration tests, analyzing test results, and collaborating with developers and product teams to resolve defects and improve product quality.

The QA Lead will also define testing standards, mentor QA team members, coordinate test efforts across projects, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tooling. The role involves clear documentation of test outcomes,



active participation in reviews and planning meetings, and ensuring timely, high-quality releases.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in playwriting and scriptwriting for creating clear, structured test scenarios and automation scripts.
- Candidates should possess skills in drama, plays, and dramaturgy to design realistic user journeys, edge cases, and behavior-driven test narratives.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO for automated testing of web applications.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience leading QA initiatives, mentoring team members, and coordinating testing across multiple projects.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or similar languages used in modern test automation frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and agile development practices is beneficial.
